A Domestic Abuse Survivor Has Married The First Paramedic Who Came To Her Aid

According to CNN,Melissa Dohme Hill who was 20yrs old received a call from her ex-boyfriend in high school asking for a meet up so that they could end their relationship properly, unknown to her he had ulterior motives. When she arrived,he pulled out a switchblade and stabbed her 32 times and then left her by the road side to bleed to death.

God helping her,Cameron Hill was the very first paramedic to come to her rescue and he helped her unto a helicopter that flew her to the trauma center. After the attack in 2012,she lost so much blood that she was in coma and she also suffered a stroke that left her paralyzed, the nerves on her face were severed which resulted in her inability to speak or smile.

As fate would have it,the two met at a luncheon a year later and started dating two months after that.In 2015,he proposed at a baseball game and they got married this month in the presence of the doctors and respondents who had helped her to survive the attack.

She now works as an advocate against domestic violence at hands across the bay.Speaking to CNN,she said ,''I would never want to go through the horrific attack again, but with where i am today,i wouldn't change it,i would have never met Cameron,so i believe it was fate that brought us together''.

Advising those in similar predicament, she said,''Please reach out to your local domestic violence center for assistance on how to safely end the relationship, because ending an abusive relationship can be very dangerous''.
