Samsung Pay Launches In India

Samsung just launched its digital payment service in India,this launch makes it a total of 12 countries that uses the service,other countries includes;-Russia,Thailand,Malaysia,Australia,Singapore,Puerto-Rico,China,USA,South Korea,Brazil and Spain,Samsung pay works with credit or debit cards available to the following banks;-Axis bank,HDFC bank,ICICI bank,State bank of India(only credit cards)and Standard Chartered Bank.



The service works with cards from Visa,MasterCard and American Express.The service can be used in retail outlets by waving your Samsung phone near a cash register,it also supports payments through QR codes-supporting UPI and Paytm through this method.

All that the user needs to do is launch the Samsung Pay App and select preferred card,then the vendor has to enter the required amount to be paid on the point of sale(POS)machine,you then verify the payment through a fingerprint or PIN on the App and bring the phone close to the POS machine.Samsung say the payment method is very secure as it works with fingerprint authentication,card tokenization and Samsung's defense grade mobile security platform-Samsung KNOX.


Samsung Pay only works on Galaxy S7 edge,Galaxy note 5,Galaxy S6 edge plus,Galaxy A5(2016),Galaxy A7(2016)and of course,Samsung Gear S3 Smartwatch.
