Cyclone Makes Landfall In Australia

A powerful cyclone has made it's way to Queensland,Australia,the category four storm has left more than 23,000 homes without power and has caused damage on Whitsunday islands.People were already told to evacuate before the cyclone ''Debbie'' made landfall,


According to authorities,this cyclone is the most damaging since 2011 and it is expected to remain over the state for more hours.

Steve Gollschewski,police deputy commissioner said they were getting reports of roofs starting to lift even in their own facility in Whitsundays,one person in the area has compared the winds to freight trains coming through left and right.Electricity providers also said more homes will lose power.
