Maldivian Model Didn't Commit Suicide As Speculated

Raudha Athif who was 21 years was reported to have committed(Read here) suicide in her room in Bangladesh but according to family members this is so untrue.


An Autopsy report that was carried out ruled her death as suicide before she was buried on Saturday but her brother has spoken out and said Raudha who was a muslim was murdered and her death was made to look like a suicide.

Her father also took to twitter to refute the claims that she took her own life,

Maldivian medical student and my daughter Raudha Athif did not commit suicide.She was murdered at her hostel room,I've the facts.

Rayyan Athif ,her brother while speaking to the Sun said,extremists were behind her death because she stood up for people who were bullied over their religious differences.

Speaking further,he said,''Her style of dressing was branded as immodest and un-islamic,even though she adhered to the dress code in the college premises by wearing a veil covering her face,she was criticized for wearing jeans and was repeatedly told she could not wear it at the muslim college''.

Her brother also made a fact known that prior to her death,she told her family that an unknown person her put some sleeping pills into her drink.
