Biggest Mumps Outbreak In Texas In 22 Years

Mumps which is a contagious disease is caused by a virus that spreads from one person to another through saliva and mucus.



The Texas Department of State Health Services has warned of multiple ongoing cases of mumps outbreak and this year alone,221 cases have been reported in the state.


Symptoms of mumps includes fever,headache,muscle aches,tiredness and loss of appetite just lasting a few days.According to reports MMR Vaccine is the only way out to prevent complications and it is adviced to visit your doctor for this vaccine before visiting or travelling to Texas.
