A Man has killed his neighbor in Lagos

Information reaching us says that one Iyke Godwin has been killed by his neighbor,Odukoya Idowu at their Ikotun residence in Lagos.It is learnt that the said Idowu stabbed the deceased in his stomach during a fight at their residence which led to severe bleeding before he was rushed to the hospital.


Eyewitnesses say trouble started when the said Idowu came back late at night and was yelling for Godwin's wife to open the gate for him.

This however didn't go down well with Godwin who came out and challenged Idowu for calling out his pregnant wife at that hour of the night.

Idowu who felt insulted by Godwin's boldness,rebuked him and in the process,an altercation ensued between them which led to the stabbing of Godwin on that fateful night.

Unfortunately,Godwin later died in hospital on Tuesday because of injuries he sustained as a result of the fight.

According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police,Austines Akika,confirming the incident said,the culprit had been arrested and the matter transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department,Panti,Yaba for further investigations.

The late Godwin left behind a pregnant wife and two kids.
