Five medical staffs have been fired for mocking an unconscious patient awaiting surgery,it is believed that one of them took the footage and posted it online.In the video the doctors and nurses can be heard laughing as they danced around the patient,this happened at Santa Cruz de Bocagrande clinic in Bolivar,Columbia.
According to reports,the five medical staffs in the video have been fired.In a statement issued by the clinic bosses,they said,''The respect for dignity of every patient is the most important thing in our clinic,therefore we strongly regret the inappropriate behavior of those who are working as professionals in the health sector ,seen in the video recorded in one of our surgery rooms''.
The statement also said the five medic's action,''are against the dignity of the patient and are breaking the protocols and the political values of our institution focused on the quality and humanization of our service''.The clinic has apologized for the dehumanizing video.
According to a spokesman of the clinic,he said,''this is the first time in seven years of good service that we are living a situation like this and we have taken some measures in other not to repeat this horrific act''.
