Homes Demolished In Otodo-Gbame In Lekki,Lagos State
Over 4,700 residents in Otodo-Gbame had their houses demolished based on a court order they refused to obey.According to eyewitnesses,the residents formed a human chain trying to stop bulldozers from going through but,live bullets and tear gas was used to disperse them.
According to amnesty international,''the incident is a violation of human rights'',they also shared a video showing bulldozers clearing a path way through the area.
Amnesty international also said the Lagos state government ignored a court order prohibiting them from forcefully evicting the residents of the community.
