Several thousands of Chickens tried escaping for freedom in Austria

Several thousands of Chickens that were been conveyed in a truck for the slaughter in Austria were apparently somewhat lucky when the truck they were in met an accident.


The accident happened close to the city of  Linz,on the A1 highway in Austria and the driver of the truck was apparently feeling sleepy when he bumped into the pillar of a bridge thereby resulting in the accident.

Most of the Chickens quickly made for the run on sighting freedom but some were not that lucky as many lost their lives in the crash.

Firefighters numbering about 120 who were at the scene of the incident tried fervently to get the Chickens back into their boxes and back onto the truck as they had blocked part of the highway resulting in a gridlock.

About 7,500 Chickens were involved in the accident and at the time of reporting this, it is not yet verified how many birds lost their lives in the accident.There was however no loss of human lives.
