A bus crash in Germany leaves 31 people injured while 17 are reported missing
A tour bus with about 48 persons had a head on collision with a truck early Monday morning in Germany,leaving 17 people unaccounted for while 31 persons were seriously injured.
According to local media,the accident happened near Muenchberg in Bavaria and upon impact with the lorry,the bus went up in flames.
Rescue team and emergency workers which included helicopters and ambulances were immediately deployed to the scene to rescue the injured victims.
According to a police spokeswoman,Anne Hoefer,she said there was every possibility some persons did not get out of the bus alive.
Further investigations into the accident continues as the A9 motorway has been blocked to traffic.Eyewitness reports states that traffic on road was moving slowly at the time of the incident.
