Plane crash injures two people in Southern California

A small plane crashed on Friday just shortly after take off at John Wayne Airport in Costa Messa.The Cessna 310 aircraft which crashed on the motor way near the airport close to Los Angeles in Southern California,burst into flames leaving two passengers on board the plane injured.


According to reports,the two people on board the aircraft,a man and a woman,were in their 50's and 60's respectively and the wounds they sustained wasn't life threatening.

Lanry Kurtz who is the Orange County Fire Captain said,the two people were quickly pulled out from the burning wreckage of the plane and were immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration,Ian Gregor said the pilot of the plane announced an emergency shortly after take off and that the crash happened under unknown circumstances.

The plane crash caused traffic gridlock as emergency services worked tirelessly to put out the flame.
