Multiple injuries and a death involving a minibus and a refuse truck in London

A minibus conveying students of John Taylor High School in Staffordshire ran into an accident on their way for an art trip this morning.


The accident occurred in Kingsbury road,Birmingham when the minibus collided with a bin or refuse truck and several students were reported injured.

Emergency services including police,air ambulance were immediately sent to the scene of the incident.According to West Midlands Ambulance Service,three paramedic officers and two ambulances were quickly sent to the scene after the accident was reported.

''We received a call at 9 a.m to a road traffic collision between a lorry and a minibus on Kingsbury road in Castle Vale,Birmingham this morning.
''Two ambulances,three paramedic officers,a senior paramedic officer,the Trust's Hazardous Area Response Air Ambulance Crew from Cosford in a rapid response car to the scene.
''Ambulance staff assessed multiple patients from the minibus at the scene together with the lorry driver.Further details will be released when available.

The school,John Taylor High School while informing parents about the unfortunate incident,in a statement said that Year 9 and Year 12 students were involved a road accident and efforts were going on to support those that were directly affected.

''Please be aware that a number of our Year 9 and Year 12 students that are on Art Trip have been involved in a serious road traffic accident this morning.We are working to support those directly affected.
''Please,support us by not ringing into school as this closes our lines.More information will be provided via the school website.''

According to reports,three teachers,the lorry driver,19 students were injured in the accident while a 14-year-old girl who was identified as Holly Brown died instantly in the accident.
