London's Camden Market is under fire,70 firefighters already at the scene

London's Camden market had some of its building set alight in the later part of Sunday evening,just before midnight when eyewitnesses noticed fire erupting from the Honest Burger restaurant and immediately alerted emergency services.


According to Police,they were called to the scene of the fire at about 12:10 am early Monday morning.

''Police were called on Monday at 12:10am to Camden Lock Market to reports of a fire.London Fire Brigade were already at the scene when officers arrived.It is unknown at this stage if any persons are injured,we await update.''

Based on local media reports,more than 70 firefighters were on ground battling the raging fire and about 10 fire engines were deployed to the scene on Sunday night.

London Ambulance Service has however said there were no casualties in the fire incident.An eyewitness,Joan Ribes,while speaking with Sky News,gave detailed account of what happened:

''We called the police to close the street to the traffic because it was very dangerous,the fire was flying through the air to the surrounding areas.
''The fire was moving very fast.People were watching but we were scared the building could explode at any time since there are restaurants with kitchens nearby.''

The fire was however contained by firefighters at about 3:20am on Monday morning and the cause of the inferno is not yet known.The market has had several fire incidences in the past and attracts more than 200,000 visitors and tourists each week.
