John Bernecker,The Walking Dead stuntman has passed on
According to reports,John fell on hard concrete on Wednesday and was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center where he has been on life support.AMC while announcing the tragic incident in a statement said:
''We are saddened to report that John Bernecker,a talented stuntman for the Walking Dead and numerous other Television shows and films,suffered serious injuries from a tragic accident on set.
''He was immediately transported to an Atlanta hospital and we have temporarily shut down production.We are keeping John and his family in our thoughts and prayers.''
His family later decided that he should be taken off from life support and his organs donated to keep and ensure his legacy continues.AMC and Scott Gimpe who is the show runner in a statement on Friday announced his death:
''John Bernecker's family has decided that he will be removed from life support,following organ donation.We are deeply saddened by this loss and our hearts and prayers are with John's family,friends and colleagues during this extremely difficult time.
''Our production is heart broken by the tragic loss of John Bernecker.John's work on The Walking Dead and dozens of other movies and shows will continue to entertain and excite audiences for generations.
''We are grateful for his contributions and all of us send our condolences,love and prayers to John's family and friends.''
The LifeLink Foundation which is an organ donor network in a statement said John's family through their generosity will ensure that John's organs will help in saving lives.
''Although devastated by their loss,John's loved ones have ensured his legacy will live on,not only through the personal and professional contributions he made during his life but also by their generous decision to allow John to save lives as an organ donor.''
He died from his injuries at the age of 33.Really sad!.
