Accident on the Benin-Auchi road in Edo state claims five lives

An accident involving multiple vehicles on the Benin-Auchi road in Edo state has left no fewer than ten persons injured while five persons were confirmed dead.

The unfortunate accident occurred at the Ewu axis of the road on Satuday,1st of July.The victims were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals in Auchi,Agbede and Irrua towns in Edo state.

According to FRSC Public Education Officer,Bisi Kazeem while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria said:

''The accident involved six vehicles,including two trailers,two Toyota buses and an Audi 80 car.The crash was caused by a head-on collision and a total of 40 persons were involved.''
