Katy Perry and Myer pick apart over an advert in Australia

Myer,which is one of Australia's largest online stores have been criticized over what some animal lovers have called 'offensive' over an advertorial involving Katy Perry and her Dog Nugget.


Katy Perry who is advertising for Myer,and also promoting her 'Witness' album in the country has however angered some Koala bear lovers when she instructed her Dog Nugget in the advert to go chase after some Koalas.

In an apparent response,a veterinarian by name Claire Madden has taken it upon herself to vent out her anger to Myer and Katy Perry based on the fact that Koalas are regarded as an endangered species in Australia.

''This is just absolute ignorance from Perry and Myer,it is inappropriate on so many levels.Perry is a role model to so many young people and this just destroys all the good work we do to try to encourage people not to let their dogs come into contact with Koalas.''

Claire however made it clear that Dogs attack on Koalas were increasing and however suggested that Perry should take the time out and visit her to see how 'adorable and precious' the Koalas are before making such 'undeserving comments'.

Myer in a statement however said they were editing out the part of the advert in relation to Katy's comment.

''We are aware of comments in relation to Katy Perry's Witness,The Tour advertisement and a particular reference made to Koalas.We are currently removing the material which references Koalas.''
