France Terror Attack Leaves Many Injured And One Dead

An attack in Paris tonight has lead to the death of one policeman while others are seriously injured.The attack which happened at Champs Elysees in central Paris saw a gun wielding man deliberately targeting at police officers just days to the presidential election.

According to reports,the attack started 9 p.m local time,when a car pulled up next to a police patrol car which was parked on the busy avenue and a man jumped out of the car and started firing his automatic weapon at the police killing an officer instantly.The terrorist ran off but was pursued by other officers who gunned him down instantly.


The killer was known to security services and had talked of wanting to kill police officers via the Telegram messaging service.The french President,Francois Hollande said he is convinced that the attack was terror related and will hold a security cabinent meeting in the morning.
