Ransomware cyber attack hits companies globally

A malware attack unleashing security breaches across the globe is said to be a new form of ransomware that hasn't been seen before according to cyber security experts.


Companies across the globe reported of a major cyber attack on their businesses.Firms like Rosneft which is Russia's top oil producer reported that its servers were hit but the oil production base wasn't affected.

British advertising firm,WPP reported of several cyber attacks to its agencies computer systems and also Danish shipping compny,A.P. Moller-Maersk reported that its computer systems were hit globally.

The Ukraine central bank reported of an attack to several of the country's companies and banks and also the state power company as well as Kiev main airport.

Russia was also affected,its IT systems and several banks were also hit with many of bank branches closed.

Others also affected by the Ransomware attack are,Germany's Metro,Deutsche Post,Mondelez International,Russian Steel maker Evraz,Norway,French Construction Material Company,Saint Cobain,Merck & Co,Antonov an Aircraft Manufacturer.TNT which is Netherlands based shipping company.
