Police arrests five gang female suspects for selling a three year old boy

The arms of the law have caught up with five women in Ngor Okpala,Imo state,Nigeria who connived to sell a three year old boy for the sum of six hundred thousand naira(N600,000.00).

Based on reports, the suspects who have been identified as Eucharia Amadi,Chinonye Okere,Joy Ama,Nnenna Okere and Pauline Uzoamaka have already been arrested by the police.

The state commissioner of police,Chris Ezike, while parading the suspects before news men in Owerri said:

''In the 21st century when people are engaging in productive activities, like going to the moon, these ones are shamelessly engaging in buying and selling of God's beautiful creation.
''To learn that they sold this handsome child for a pittance of N600,000 is most annoying and shameful. We will not spare them,we will arraign them in court on Monday for them to answer their charges.
''The gang is a criminal chain and we will ensure that the law takes its full cost.''

According to investigations, one of the five suspects stole the kid during a burial ceremony and sold him to Uzoamaka for N600,000.The suspect Uzoamaka confirmed buying the little boy in Nnewi,Anambra state in April from one Mrs.Amadi.

The police commissioner however said a policeman by name Felix was also part of the scheme and is currently on an Orderly room trial and if found wanting will be dismissed from the police force.
