Emmanuel Macron sworn in as President of France

The new President of France,Emmanuel Macron,an independent centrist who won the 2017 elections against far-right candidate,Marine Le Pen,was today sworn in as the eight President of France's Fifth Republic at the Elysse Presidential palace in Paris.


Outgoing President,Francois Hollande in an inauguration ceremony,handed over the keys of the country as well as the transfer of nuclear missile launch codes,over to the new President of France,Emmanuel Macron which was watched by about 300 invited guests including Macron's family members.

Emmanuel Macron who is the country's youngest President at 39,in his inaugural address pledged to unite France and make the french nation strong and great once more:

''France is only strong if it's prosperous.France is only a model for the world if it is exemplary,we will have given back to the French a taste for the future and pride in what they are.
''The whole world will pay attention to what France says because we will together go beyond our fears and anxieties.We will together be an example of a people that knows how to affirm their values,their principles,those of democracy and the republic.
''The division and fractures in our society must be overcome,the world and Europe need more than ever,a strong France which speaks out loudly for freedom and solidarity.''

The new President however,received the Grand Necklace of the Order of the Legion of Honor,the highest award in France.His wife,Brigitte was in attendance,as well as Brigitte's children,his parents and his entire family.
