Mercy Aigbe,Linda Ikeji sued for defamation of character

According to reports,a lady by the name Opemititi Ajayi,has sued Linda Ikeji,a Blogger and Mercy Aigbe,an actress for defaming her name.


Opemititi was alleged to have been the cause of the break-up in Mercy Aigbe's marriage during an interview which she(Mercy Aigbe)had exclusively granted on Broadway TV while Linda Ikeji on the other hand,broke the news exclusively on her blog alleging that,'Opemititi,a.k.a. Queen stunner was responsible for the failed marriage of Mercy Aigbe'.

Opemititi's lawyers,Afolabi & Co have however written to both parties claiming defamation of character on its client and asked both parties involved to retract their stories and tender an unreserved apology to their client.

Her lawyers are however,asking the sum of N500,000,000(Five Hundred Million Naira)as fees for damages on her reputation from both parties,claiming that the publications they each published has caused their client(Opemititi Ajayi)hatred,contempt and embarrassment from close friends and business associates.
