A 12 month old baby girl has been raped in Katsina,Nigeria

A 12 month old baby was raped in Danja Local Government Area of Katsina state after two men named Suleiman and Musa snatched the baby girl from her mother and entered a nearby bush where they gang raped the baby.


The matter which was reported by the child's father,Ahmadu Jibril at the Central Police Station,Funtua Local Government Area saw Suleiman arrested and taken into custody.

Based on reports,the two suspects,Suleiman and Musa tricked the baby's mother to board their motor bike and on the way,they snatched the baby from her and entered into the bush where they joined other suspects to rape the little girl.

Police Public Relations Officer,D.S.P Gambo Isah has confirmed the rape case and stated that Suleiman has been arrested as a secondary suspect and a search for the other suspects is ongoing.

The baby girl was rushed to the  General hospital in Funtua and has since been discharged.
