Bangkok bomb blast injures 24 people

A bomb blast at Phranongkutklao military hospital in Thailand has injured about 24 people, according to police.

The bomb which was carefully hidden in a container at the hospital's pharmacy detonated, sparking panic and sending smoke into corridors.

This explosion comes as Thailand marks the third anniversary of a military coup that happened in May 2014.

Reports shows that about three people were severely injured to the neck and face but most of the victims had minor bruises.Forensic investigations have found traces of wires and batteries at the scene of the blast.

According to Commander Kanthom Aucharoen:

''It was a bomb,we found the pieces that were used to make the bomb.Right now, authorities are checking out closed circuit cameras.''

The blast which happened at the hospital on Monday, cannot be linked to any terror organization but authorities are suspicious of political protesters who are opposed to military rule and also, they blame the attack on muslim insurgents.
