Explosions rocks Kabul's foreign embassies,killing 50 and injuring over 200 people

A massive explosion has erupted in Kabul's diplomatic area near the Presidential palace on Wednesday,leaving several wounded and many killed in what appears to be an oriented suicide attack.


According to information from Basir Mujahid of the Kabul police,he pointed out that the explosion was a bomb planted in a car near the German embassy.

''It was a car bomb near the German embassy but there are several other important compounds and offices near there too.It is hard to say what the exact target is.''

The suicide car bomb blast was so severe that it affected houses hundreds of yards away and it also blew out windows and doors of buildings.The blast happened at peak hours when people were busy rushing to their various destinations.

The blast occurred in what appeared to be one of the safest and heavily guarded areas in Kabul.The German embassy,the Turkish embassy,the Chinese embassy,the British embassy,the Indian embassy,the Canadian embassy as well as the Presidential palace and the Foreign Ministry are well guarded by national security forces.

According to an eyewitness,''bodies littered the ground,shop windows were shattered,restaurant and other buildings were affected,people were covered in blood as a huge cloud of black smoke covered the atmosphere.''
