A well known hunter in Zimbabwe has been crushed to death by an Elephant

Theunis Botha who is 51 and a well known hunter from South Africa has died on an hunting expedition when he and his group came across a herd of breeding Elephants in Gwai,Zimbabwe.


The group then opened fire on the Elephants but a s luck would have it,the Elephants charged at them and one female Elephant instantly picked up Botha with its trunk.

A member of the group quickly shot at the Elephant in an attempt to save Botha but unfortunately,the female Elephant fell on him killing him instantly.

Botha is survived by his wife Carika and five kids and they all live in Tzaneen,South Africa.The wife is expected to come over to Zimbabwe to identify her husband's body and to convey the corpse back to South Africa.

One of his kids,Carmen Botha who is 21,took to her Facebook page to pay tribute to her Father.An uploaded photo of the tribute shows Carmen as a little girl with her Father standing close to a dead Gazelle with both resting their hands on the animal.
