Shakira set to release her album this month

Shakira who broke the news on Thursday to nearly 45 million of her followers on twitter,said her 11th studio album,'El Dorado',will be released on May the 26th.


The title of the album,'El Dorado',refers to a myth about a city filled with riches which Spanish explorers once went in search of in her country Columbia.The album cover,shows Shakira appearing half beneath a liquid bath.

Shakira won the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Award for Hot Latin songs artist of the year and is set to perform at Univision upfront presentation taking place at New York City Lyric Theater on May 16th.

Shakira's last album was in 2014 titled,'Shakira',and largely in English and she gave birth to her two children before and after the album.

Her song titled,'Me Enamore',which means,'I fell in love',according to her was dedicated to her boyfriend,Gerard Piqué and its been topping charts.

''It's a narration of how i met Gerard and how i fell in love,I think our story was very fun.We also took a lot of risk and we went against all odds that we had against us and we were able to form the family that we have today.We all have a love story to tell,this is mine.''
