25 people are feared dead at a wedding ceremony in India
A wedding ceremony in the city of Bharatpur,Rajasthan has claimed the lives of 25 guests including children when a 12ft high wall came crashing down on them during a storm.
According to eyewitnesses,about 800 guests were feasting outside when the heavy storm started and apparently,they had to take shelter near the wall which was supporting a tent and suddenly the wall collapsed on them.
About 26 other guests were injured and the property owner has been arrested and charged for culpable homicide.
According to Anil Tank who is the Superintendent of Police:
The state government announced that £600 will be given to each of the families of those who died and £120 to compensate the injured victims.

''The marriage home owner has been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.Some people had taken shelter under a shed near the wall and were trapped following the sudden collapse of the wall and the shed.
''The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals immediately and treatment was administered.''
