A 22 month old Toddler has been raped by a 45 year old Man in India

The grievous and heinous crime that happens in our daily lives is just terrible.This is a case of a 22 year old toddler who was innocently playing on the streets of East Delhi,when a neighbour,Hare Ram Yadav,a tailor who is 45 took her into his house and raped her for good 15 minutes before taking her back to her parent's home.


According to the girl's mother,she heard her daughter's loud cries while inside the house attending to her other child,thinking she had fallen down while playing but on rushing out of the house,she noticed her daughter crying seriously and was not able to walk properly.

''She was howling and was not able to walk.I have never seen her crying like that,it was definitely different.

''I held her in my arms and asked her what was wrong several times.I thought she needed the toilet and when i took her to the wash room,she was bleeding profusely.

''I wiped her but the bleeding wouldn't stop,i was really scared and was screaming for help and then her father came home and we took her to hospital.'' 

She took her to the wash room only to find out that her daughter was bleeding profusely.The girl was immediately taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan hospital where it was discovered by doctors that she had been sexually abused.

According to Doctor Yogesh Kumar Sarin who is a Pediatric surgeon:

''It was confirmed that she was sexually abused and due to the size of the toddler,she suffered injuries.

''She has been operated for her injuries and she is currently doing fine.A few follow-up appointments will determine if there will be any permanent damage.

''However,psychological trauma is more difficult to handle in such cases.We are giving counselling to the family to deal with the situation.''

Her Father,while speaking about Hare Ram Yadav,said:

''I did not know him personally but i have seen him in the area,i thought he was a friendly and playful man.I was so shocked when i got to know something like this has happened to my daughter.

''He is an old man and she is a toddler who has only started walking,she can't even talk.''

Police arrested the accused,Hare Ram Yadav that same day and was charged with sexual assault and rape.According to Nupur Prasad,Deputy Commissioner of Police:

''He has confessed to his crimes and is now in police custody and sent to a different jail in West Delhi.''
