2017 BET awards sees Beyonce and Bruno Mars leading Awards nomination

The 2017 BET awards which is scheduled to take place June 25th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles has nominated Beyonce for seven awards which will see her going head to head with her sister Solange in two of the categories.


The pop star and her sister were both nominated for video of the year as well as best female R&B/Pop Artist.Beyonce who was nominated for 'Sorry' will compete against her sister Solange's 'Cranes in the Sky',Migo's,'Bad and Boujee',Big Sean's,'Bounce Back' and Bruno Mars,'24K Magic'.

Beyonce will dig it out with Solange for best female R&B/Pop Artist as well as Rihanna,Kehlani and Mary J. Blige.

Album of the Year sees Beyonce's 'Lemonade' going up against Bruno Mars '24k Magic',Solange's,'A seat at the table',J. Cole's,'4 Your Eyez Only' and Coloring Book by Chance the Rapper.

Beyonce was also nominated twice for best collaboration with the songs 'Freedom' with Kendrick Lamar and 'Shining',shared with DJ Khaled and Jay Z.

Bruno Mars is also nominated for best male R&B/Pop Artist,Album of the year,the viewer's choice award and video director of the year.

Nicki Minaj will go head to head with Remy Ma for best female Hip-Hop artist and this is definitely one heck of a battle for the rivals.Nicki has won this award since 2010 and its gonna be tough!.

The best Male Hip-Hop Artist will see J.Cole,Big Sean,Future,Drake and Lamar battle it out with Chance the Rapper.

There are 19 categories in total which are chosen by music industry experts,fans and BET voting Academy which comprises of entertainment professionals.
