A nanny in Hungary has been sentenced to four years imprisonment for killing a 10 month old baby boy
Reports say that a nanny,Viktoria Tautz who is 34,was hired by the little boy's parents on June 16th,2014 through Childcare.co.uk after the mother,Pearl Paul returned back to work.After much consultations,she and her husband,Nirmal Vijayan hired her.
The 10 year old infant child whose name was Joshua,was born with two holes in his heart and needed extra care and assistance.Tautz was accused of violently shaking the baby after losing her temper when 'something snapped'.
The child was said to have collapsed immediately after his mother left for work and was rushed to the hospital,three days later he died.
The prosecution alleged that based on expert reports,the child died as a result of being shaken which was accompanied by some sort of injury to his head.Tautz,defended herself by denying ever intentionally killing the baby boy.
The jury convicted her after going over the case and she was however sentenced to four years imprisonment for one count of manslaughter.
Detective Inspector Ian Lott of Scotland yard was however pleased with the final verdict.
