Masked gunmen dressed in military uniforms kill about 28 Christians in Egypt

About 28 people have been killed in Egypt when their convoy was intercepted by a group of masked men numbering about ten and wearing military uniforms.


Reports say,the gunmen laid an ambush on the two buses that were conveying Christians heading towards Saint Samuel the Confessor  Monastery in Maghagha where they intended in offering prayers.

The unfortunate incident happened in Minya province,south of Cairo,the convoy of Christians were coming from a nearby province of Bam Suief when they ran into the gunmen who had machine guns.The masked men with automatic machine guns opened fire on the two buses before they fled the scene.

Local media reported that the President,Abdel Fattah al-sisi has called a meeting of security officials and the manhunt for the attackers is ongoing as security forces have set up several checkpoints and patrols in the desert roads.
