7 people killed in a cable car accident in Kashmir
A cable car at Gulmarg that was transporting about seven passengers to the Himalayas crashed earlier today,killing everyone inside it.
According to reports,the sudden incident happened when a tree fell over the wire supporting the cable car.Two children were among the dead,while about 15 other cable cars with passengers inside them were also stranded.
According to officials,high winds in the area caused the mishap and they are making every effort to repair the damaged cable and also try to rescue the other passengers in the cable cars who are trapped.
The cable cars are said to reach a height of up to 4,100m or 13,450 ft.A former minister,Omar Abdullah,however blamed the authorities for not suspending the cable car operations in such terrible weather.

''If this is what happened,it begs the question as to why the cable car operations weren't suspended in high winds.
