A flight to Houston from LA was diverted after a passenger tried opening the emergency exit door

A flight from Los Angeles to Houston was however interrupted on Sunday when a female passenger tried opening the emergency exist door of the plane and eagerly tried jumping off.


This apparent development,according to the airline in a statement,made the captain to divert to Corpus Christi,after the crew members reported a potential threat in the cabin.

A Cleveland Independent School District Police Officer who had recently joined the department,and was on board the flight with her children,Pamela Michew,was the one who came to the rescue of the other passengers.

She however,after observing the intending attacker on the plane,subdued her and brought her to a stand still until the plane finally and safely landed in Corpus Christi before taking her into custody.

According to an eyewitness who was also on board the flight while observing the intending attacker,said the woman acted in a very strange by pacing up and down the aisle and refused to sit down;she however tried opening the emergency exist door at the back of the plane before she was stopped.

The passengers later arrived in Houston,six hours after their normal arrival time,in a safe and secure condition.
