Five people electrocuted at a Turkish water park
According to local media reports,three kids who were swimming in a pool have been electrocuted when electric current shot through the swimming pool.
In an effort to save the kids,the manager of the park who is 58 and his son who is 30,quickly dived into the pool to rescue the kids but unfortunately,they were also electrocuted.
The incident which happened in the town of Akyazi,Sakarya province,involved a 12 year old,15 year old and 17 year old kids who were obviously having fun in the swimming pool.
The victims were taken to the hospital but unfortunately,they didn't make it.The power to the park was later disconnected by the employees.
Officers are conducting investigations to know what caused the electrocutions at the park this afternoon.The manager of the park was identified as Mehmet Kaya and his son,Kadir Kaya.
Reports say,a sixth person was also involved in the incident and was severely injured.However,investigations carried out on the park revealed that there was no Residual Current Breaker which enables for a shut down in happenings like this.
