Katy Perry hits 100 million twitter followers

The singer who is well known for her melodious songs such as 'I kissed a girl,California Gurls,Firework' has become the very first user on Twitter to hit 100 million followers.

The Pop star who joined twitter in 2009,got about 50 million followers in 2012 and since then,it's been a non stop followers affair.Katy Perry who just released her new album titled 'Witness',on June the 9th 2017,did a special live-stream on YouTube that same day which lasted till June 12th.

The live-stream was viewed from around the globe which saw about 49 million views and Perry concluded with a live concert on the final day.

Twitter however congratulated her for reaching the 100 million mark with a video of her tweets over the years.

Her upcoming tour which will promote the new album,'Witness',starts from September 2017 in the U.S and in Canada and ends February 2018.
