An attack has been carried out at Khomeini Shrine and Parliament building in Iran

Gunmen have besieged both the Iranian Parliament building and the Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum in Iran killing about seven people and injuring several others.


Local media reports that gunmen were shooting sporadically at the parliament building when one of them detonated a suicide bomb on the fourth floor,killing himself and about five others,including a security guard.

A female suicide bomber who carried out an attack at the mausoleum was reported killed with one other person,injuring several others.

Isis have claimed responsibility for the attacks on both the parliament building and the Khomeini mausoleum through it's online forum.

According to local media,there is panic and pandemonium in the capital due to the twin attacks and they also indicated that the terrorists planned the attacks systematically and in an organized manner based on the fact that these two locations are well guarded and secured by security agencies.
