A man has been arrested in Lagos after failed attempt to assassinate a boutique owner
The incident which happened in Jakande area of Lagos state,saw an angry mob about setting the criminal ablaze before the timely intervention of the police.The criminal was not immediately identified but based on his confessions,he was contracted in Delta state,Nigeria by the boutique owner's friend to eliminate her.
He then traveled all the way from Delta state to Lagos state to carry out his evil mission but unfortunately for him and fortunately for the boutique owner,he was caught after his plans failed.
According to eye witnesses,he entered the very boutique as a customer and laid false claim of wanting to surprise his girlfriend with a gift and the boutique owner had to show him round the shop for him to pick an item of interest.
When they got to the end of the shop,he quickly brought out a rope to strangle her but she however managed to scream for help and that scream brought passersby to her rescue.He has been arrested by the state police for further interrogations.
