Police have arrested about 5 suspects for the brutal killing of a pregnant woman in Adamawa

According to reports,Ayina Afraimu who is 32,from Falu village in Guyuk Local Government area of Adamawa state,Nigeria,who was said to be pregnant was brutally murdered by five persons who accused her of been a witch and also responsible for the deaths and sickness of people in the community.


Police Commissioner in Adamawa,Moses Jitoboh,while briefing newsmen on Saturday in Yola said,the suspects killed the deceased with sticks and ropes.

''She was attacked with sticks,rope and killed by five suspects on allegation that the deceased was a witch,who was responsible for the deaths and sickness of persons in the town of Falu.

He went ahead to mention and give the names of the culprits who committed the dastardly and evil act.

''Suspects who committed this nefarious offence are-Abraham Adamu,18 years,Malachi Yilafane,35 years,Thomas Aji,54 years,Zakariya Chorum,56 years and Miss Newana IIihal,20 years.''

The Commissioner of Police added that the suspects would be charged to court for defamation of character,homicide,criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.He however assured the citizens of Adamawa to be law abiding and help the Police fish out criminal elements.

''I want to assure the good people of Adamawa state that police officers will work relemtlessly to ensure citizens of the state sleep with two eyes closed.

''Assist the police by reporting criminals and criminal activities promptly to us,as we cannot succeed without the cooperation of the people.''
