A woman has been killed by her neighbour over Parrot's consistent insults

Maria Bonaria Contu aged 60 was stabbed to death by her neighbour,Ignazio Frailis aged 46 from Sardinia while she was taking a stroll with some friends.


According to reports,Maria who has a pet Parrot had trained the bird to utter all sort of insults at him whenever he passed by.This however did not go down well with him as he laid an ambush for her and stabbed her 11 times resulting in her death.

Reports from locals say Frailis is unemployed as a result of this,he spends most of his time at home playing video games and also listens to the Parrot hurling insults at him.

The investigating Magistrate,Paolo de Angelis speaking,said:

''Listening to the Parrot all day,it became an obsession for him.I don't exclude mental problems.even the worst Parrot in the world doesn't justify this.''

According to the arresting officer who arrested Frailis,he said,he was cold,calm and was outraged.Speaking further,he said:

''Officers had tried to talk to both sides and had suggested putting the Parrot in a different room,not facing Mr.Frailis house.''

Police said Frailis complained about the Parrot in the past and that the deceased deliberately trained the bird to insult him.Maria Bonaria Contu was a mother of two.
